Getting a new generator installed doesn’t mean the project is complete – getting the generator commissioned and started-up successfully does! Premier Power Systems offers full commissioning service to customers on all of our generators. Our technicians will professionally and efficiently perform all start-up activities to verify that the generator works as designed so our customers have no surprises.Â
We offer start-up commissioning to end users as well as generator distributors or dealers who may have scheduling conflicts or do not have a technician in the area. Contact us with details about your equipment manufacturer, specifications and site location, and we will confirm whether we are authorized to perform the start-up for you.
Load Bank Testing
Premier Power Systems offers a load bank testing service as an optional part of our commissioning and can be included in our Preventive Maintenance Plan. Our on-site load bank testing is performed utilizing portable resistive load banks. The complete standby emergency system will be loaded incrementally up to its full power rating. Detailed readings are recorded at each step to confirm the reaction of the generator to the increased load. If there is a possibility of a problem with your standby emergency generator, it is clearly preferable to identify potential weaknesses under controlled conditions. Load bank testing is the certain way of discovering whether your standby generator will perform as intended if called upon to support a critical load.
Our load bank testing will provide the highest level of confidence in new and existing installations. If you have a load bank testing requirement, please call us today.

When a storm hits and your power goes out, a system that hasn’t been maintained may not come on. This is Murphy’s Law and the unpredictable nature of technology in action. We've built our reputation on the solid knowledge that the foundation to reliable stand-by emergency power is maintenance. In an emergency situation, early detection could save lives. It's really that simple. What does our generator service preventative plan include? Here's the shortlist:
- Over 52 points inspection
- Detailed written reports
- Load testing to increase generator lifespan
- Complete enclosure examination to keep leaks and critters away
We recommend that maintenance visits be made 3 times per year. We'll check transfer switch operation, circuit breakers, make sure all control panel lamps and electrical meters are functioning. With battery run systems, the connections will all be checked, cleaned and tightened when necessary. Complete testing and safety inspections will be carried out on engines. And of course, if there are any repairs needed to your generator or accessories, our experts will get right on it.
We have reasonably priced preventive maintenance plans to keep your equipment in excellent condition and save you money! Call or email today for more information and/or a quote.
